SMS Consent & Opt-In
Effective date: October 27, 2026
This page explains how text messaging works for Neighbor Says (Nine North Solutions LLC dba Neighbor Says) and for the customers of the local service businesses we serve.
Short version: Our client businesses confirm they have customer consent before any texts go out. Customers may get review requests and service texts after a job. Every text includes "Reply STOP to opt out." We never share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing.
Who sends the texts?
Texts are sent by Neighbor Says on behalf of our client businesses (for example, a plumber or electrician who uses our Reputation or Reputation+ plan). Delivery is through GoHighLevel / LeadConnector (Twilio). Messages relate to that business's services—not unrelated third-party marketing.
How end customers consent (opt-in)
- Client confirmation at onboarding. When a business signs up for Neighbor Says messaging features, it confirms that it has obtained consent from its customers to receive text messages about the business's services (such as review requests and service updates). We rely on that confirmation; we do not text a customer unless the client has authorized messaging for that customer relationship.
- After a job or service. Customers typically receive a review-request text after a completed job or service visit with that business. Reputation+ clients may also enable missed-call text-back when a customer calls and the business cannot answer.
- Ongoing service messages. Customers may also receive appointment confirmations, reminders, or similar service-related texts from the business, where consented.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. Agreeing to texts is not required to buy goods or services from the business.
What messages say about opting out
Every text includes clear opt-out language, such as "Reply STOP to opt out." Customers can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, and HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No sharing of mobile info for marketing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared, sold, rented, or transferred to any third party or affiliate for marketing. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties except service providers that deliver the messages on our behalf.
